Rugged GPS-Enabled Wireless Instrument Transceiver

The LTS-08 connects USB, RS232 and Bluetooth instruments to remote telemetry networks, securely transmitting measurements, alarms, device status and GPS location from field operations.

Description

The LTS-08 connects portable and field-based instruments directly to a remote telemetry network, allowing measurements, alarms and device status to reach a central monitoring system without deploying a separate field radio installation. It can interface with USB, RS232 serial and Bluetooth instruments, interpreting their data before transmitting it securely to the RemoteDNA network or compatible monitoring software.

Built for mobile teams and exposed monitoring locations, the IP66-rated enclosure contains a 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery and can also operate from a 9–24 VDC external supply. An integrated multi-constellation GPS receiver adds location awareness to every deployment, helping control rooms understand both what an instrument is reporting and where it is operating. Local mesh, Bluetooth and optional high-power 2.4 GHz or 900 MHz radios allow the LTS-08 to be configured for short-range facility coverage or long-range field communications.

Direct Instrument Telemetry

Connect USB, RS232 serial and Bluetooth instruments directly to the LTS-08. The unit reads measurements, alarms and device status before transmitting the information to a central monitoring system.

Rugged Field Deployment

An IP66-rated enclosure, 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery and -20°C to 60°C normal-use temperature range support mobile teams and outdoor or industrial monitoring locations.

Integrated GPS Awareness

A 72-channel u-blox M8 receiver reports deployment location with position accuracy better than 4 metres under specified conditions, adding geographic context to instrument data.

Flexible Wireless Coverage

Choose local mesh, Bluetooth, high-power 2.4 GHz, Digi XR or Digi XTend radio configurations to match building, site or long-range field coverage requirements.

Secure Monitoring-System Integration

Integrated encryption protects transmitted instrument information, with optional FIPS-140-certified algorithms. The LTS-08 is compatible with Charthouse RadSight and third-party platforms including Thermo Scientific ViewPoint.
