LTS-12

High Power Configurable Wireless Transmitter

The LTS-12 connects nearby radiation monitoring instruments to a remote telemetry network, enabling measurement data and instrument location to be viewed centrally. It interfaces with instruments over RS232 or RS485, while its internal GPS adds location awareness and its USB connection supports PC-based configuration and power.

Description

The LTS-12 Radio brings radiation-monitoring instruments into a dependable remote telemetry network, allowing measurements to be collected and transmitted without requiring personnel to remain near the monitoring point. It can operate as a field transmitter, network repeater or base station, connecting to more than 70 supported instruments through serial or Bluetooth interfaces. This makes it suitable for extending the useful life of existing equipment while creating a unified monitoring system.

Designed for fixed installations, temporary surveys and widely distributed monitoring locations, the LTS-12 supports local mesh networking as well as longer-range 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz radio options. It can operate from internal AA batteries or an external DC supply and is rated for temperatures from −40 to 50°C. Integrated encryption, with optional FIPS-140-certified algorithms, helps protect instrument data in security-conscious environments. The result is a flexible communications platform that improves coverage, reduces manual data collection and gives radiation-protection teams faster access to information from across a site.

Key Features

Flexible Telemetry Roles

Configure the LTS-12 as a field transmitter, repeater or base station, allowing the same platform to support both individual monitoring points and larger distributed networks.

Broad Instrument Compatibility

Connect more than 70 supported instruments from leading manufacturers using a DE-9 serial connection or Bluetooth Low Energy, reducing the need to replace existing monitoring equipment.

Expandable Wireless Coverage

Use local mesh networking, high-power 2.4 GHz or 900 MHz radio options, and LTS-06 relay devices to move instrument data across buildings, facilities and remote monitoring areas.

Secure Data Transmission

Protect monitoring information with integrated wireless encryption. Optional FIPS-140-certified algorithms are available for deployments with enhanced cybersecurity or compliance requirements.

Adaptable Field Operation

Deploy the LTS-12 in permanent installations or temporary monitoring campaigns. Support for internal batteries, external power and a wide operating-temperature range helps it remain practical across varied site conditions.
