LTS-Base

Ethernet-Connected Wireless Telemetry Base Station

The LTS-Base bridges wireless monitoring devices to an Ethernet/LAN network, making field telemetry available to remote monitoring software and existing data-management systems.

Description

The LTS-Base is the network gateway for an LTS telemetry deployment, connecting wireless field devices, sensors and instruments to an Ethernet/LAN-based monitoring architecture. It receives incoming radio data and exposes it across the local network, allowing measurements to be viewed remotely or passed into an existing data-management system. Acting as a compact device server, it removes the need for a dedicated computer at the radio collection point.

Designed for fixed industrial installations, the LTS-Base supports multiple radio technologies, including ZigBee, 802.15.4, DigiMesh, Wi-Fi and proprietary frequency-hopping radios. Optional high-power 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz configurations extend coverage from plant rooms and controlled areas to widely distributed monitoring locations. Power can be supplied from 12 VDC, an external adapter or Power over Ethernet, simplifying deployment where outlets are limited. Dual external SMA antenna connections provide flexibility for site-specific antenna placement and range requirements.

Key Features

Ethernet-to-Wireless Gateway

Connect field radios, sensors and instruments to an Ethernet/LAN monitoring architecture, making wireless telemetry available to remote users and networked software.

Mini Server Functionality

Manage incoming radio data at the collection point and expose it over the local network without requiring a dedicated computer beside the base station.

Multiple Radio Options

Support ZigBee, 802.15.4, DigiMesh, 802.11bgn Wi-Fi and proprietary frequency-hopping configurations, with optional high-power 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz radios for extended coverage.

Flexible Industrial Power

Operate from 12 VDC, an external power adapter or Power over Ethernet, giving installers practical options where access to conventional outlets is limited.

Adaptable Antenna Configuration

Two external SMA antenna connections allow antenna selection and placement to be tailored to the building layout, radio option and required coverage area.
